2Q's adventures at Windsor Castle

Did you do anything exciting this week?

WE DID!

We went to Windsor Castle and the Queen was at home, but we were FAR too busy to stop and have a cuppa with her!

During the day we managed to find loads of the features of castles we have learnt about in class such as crenulations and arrow slits.

We took part in a workshop were we learnt about what the Queen does when she is working and not working. Did you know her first Corgi was called Susan?

As well as this we went inside the State Apartments to see St George's Hall, find the secret doors AND see more armour than we ever thought possible! Add onto that watching the guards marching plus exploring St George's Chapel....well you can see why we didn't have time.
