Mrs Smith will teach the class every Thursday morning.

2R- is taught by Miss Scott and with Mrs Knight.

Mrs Rafiq-Craske will teach the class every Wednesday.

Every week, one P.E. session will be supported by Mr Higgins.

PE DAYS FOR BOTH CLASSES: Tuesday and Thursday

Year 2 get two pieces of homework to complete every week.  They will be given a Maths or reading comprehension activity each week and will be given a spelling activity every week, which will include some spellings to practise and learn.  They will also need to read with an adult every day.

Homework is given out on Friday and is due back in school by the following Wednesday each week.

READING DRIVE AND MATHS GAME

Please continue to join us from 8:45 to 8:55 every morning to play Maths games (on a Monday) and to read with your child (Tuesday – Friday).

Summer Term

Our theme this term is ‘Seaside Rescue’.  We’ll be exploring different habitats, naming the seas and oceans, investigating climates and finding out more about seaside holidays in the past.  Please read the overview below to find out more details about what we will be learning and check out our Year 2 blog to find out what we’ve been doing in class every week.
