An exciting opportunity has become available at Tudor Primary.

Tudor Primary is a two form entry school that is a truly happy and exciting place to learn and work in. We have high expectations and children who are motivated and keen to learn. We were recently inspected by Ofsted (March 17) who commented that:

'Staff feel valued, are well supported and are proud to work at the school.' (Ofsted, March 2017)

We require a teaching assistant to support a happy. joyful child who has autism in a lower key stage 2 class. They will be expected to help implement the systems and strategies recommended by professionals in school to help the child continue to make progress academically and socially in our inclusive school.

The hours in school are 8.45am -3.15pm. Part of the role will be supporting the child during the lunch period. Please be assured you will also have your own lunch break during the day!

This will be a temporary contract that can be extended as required (but it is currenly planned to be in place until July 2020. It will be a perfect opportunity for someone who is working voluntarily in a similar position and/ or someone who is looking for a new challenge. If you do have experience with working with children on a 1:1 basis this would be desirable.

As well as supporting the academic and social progress of the child, they will also be expected to work as part of a committed and professional team.

We are looking for a patient, flexible and supportive practitioner who is keen for children to be the best they can be!

Please contact the headteacher for further details on this important role. Please do not send CV's, application forms only. Visits to the school are encouraged. Application forms are avaliable on the via the Teach in Herts website.

Tudor Primary is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Background (DSB) Check and all other safer recruitment checks. Ofsted (March 17) stated that:

‘The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The school’s systems and record keeping are of high quality.’

‘Staff at Tudor take the safety of children very seriously.’

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21st February at 12.00pm.

Interviews to be held on Friday 23rd February.
