understanding what others are feeling because you have experienced it yourself or you can imagine experiencing it.
You can, 'put yourself in their shoes.’
This is a word that children may not have come across before, although many of them might already be very good at showing it. A video that they will be watching in school can also be shared by you at home as it gives a really clear explanation as to what empathy is - do take a look.
