In our final week of Year 1 we were set the challenge of designing and making our own castles.
As well as going on a trip during Castle week, we also did lots of other fun and interesting activities.
As part of our castle week, we went to visit Mountfitchet Castle and toy museum.
In art this half term we have been learning all things weaving! We have looked at colours, tints and tones, and had a go at our very own weaving. We could choose to do paper, wool or fabric weaving. Some of us even did a more tricky 'step pattern' when paper weaving! We worked so hard on our final pieces and Miss Gamble was SO impressed with the work we created!
Last week, years 1 and 2 had a visit from some of Hemel Hempstead bands brass section. They played us lots of songs, and showed us all the different sounds that the instruments made. We loved listening to the music, and had great fun clapping along! We were so grateful to Hemel Hempstead band for coming along to Tudor School!
