In Topic, we have been delving into the past and exploring an important part of the Britain's history - the Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasion.
First of all, we looked at the history from when the Anglo-Saxons came to Britain all the way through to the end of the Viking era. We then created a timeline of the key events throughout this period of history.
After that, we developed our map skills, finding out about the seven Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms and picking out exactly where they were in Britain. We then developed our understanding of WHY the Anglo-Saxons wanted to invade by focusing on the physical geography of the land.
