Year 6 Science investigations are NOT for the feint-hearted.

After a week of (gross!) observations, it became clear that mould grew most in warm damp conditions. The array of colours in our mould across the year group was rather impressive...

For our next investigation, we had to find the temperature that yeast would respire most at. A 34 degrees Celsius mixture was the clear winner, with the most Carbon Dioxide being collected in our balloons!
