About us ...

Our Foundation Stage Unit consists of three classes and is led by Mrs Price, our Early Years Leader.

Red Class (Reception) - Class Teacher - Miss Adams     Teaching Assistant - Mrs Jones  

Yellow Class (Reception) - Class Teacher - Mrs Price     Teaching Assistant - Mrs Onigas

Nursery Class - Class Teacher - Miss Pike    Nursery Nurse - Miss Umney 

RECEPTION have PE on Friday afternoons with Mr Higgins. They will come to school dressed in their PE kit.

NURSERY will have their PE lessons in the hall every Monday, and will remove their shoes and socks.

Each week you will receive a 'Redwood Rainbow' newsletter with updates and notices about the following week via Tapestry.

We have also attached our Intimate Care Policy to this page which explains our ‘intimate care’ arrangements.  Where applicable, these will be discussed with parents/carers on a regular basis and recorded on the child’s intimate care record.  The needs and wishes of children and parents will be taken into account wherever possible.

Autumn 1 - 'New Beginnings'

To begin the year, we have a strong focus on learning new rules and routines. The children will learn about the indoor and outdoor environments; exploring the resources that live there, how we use them, and tidy them away. 

We have a weekly focus on a familiar story, and use the book as a focus for our child-initiated provision. The children will explore making new friendships and understanding the daily timetable.
