Welcome to Year 4
About us ...
We have two year 4 classes at Tudor School. 4U’s class teacher is Mr Munro who is assisted by Mrs Knight, and 4V’s class teacher is Mrs Pettit who is assisted by Mrs Matalova. Additionally, Mrs Smith teaches in 4V and Mrs Rafiq-Craske teaches in 4U, once a week.
Mr Munro is our phase leader for Lower Key Stage 2.
PE
Normal PE days are:
4U - Monday and Wednesday 4V - Tuesday and Wednesday
Homework
Given out on Fridays, handed in on Wednesdays. Reading every day (approximately 15 minutes per day). There will also be additional spelling homework each week.

Autumn Term Theme - Is It Right To Fight?
This term, Year 4 will be travelling back to the Second World War, discovering what life was like for children and families during this important period of history.
Throughout the term, we will investigate some fascinating questions:
- Why did the Second World War begin?
- How did children’s lives change during the war?
- Why were children evacuated away from their families?
- How did people protect themselves during air raids?
- What can we learn from the courage and sacrifices of people during the war?
