AUTUMN TERM - OUR THEME IS…

BURIED TREASURE

Year 4 are embarking on a new adventure into prehistoric Britain, a time before written history had even begun! Throughout the term, we will be focusing on the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age, stopping at the Romans – we’ve already learnt about that!

We will be thinking about questions such as:

How are the ages different?

Where are they placed in prehistory?

How do archaeologists find out what life was like?

What was life like in prehistoric Britain?

Why did people build hillforts?

Who made the hillforts?

This term we will be aiming to address and answer these questions and others. If you would like to see more details about of our areas of study, please look at the overview at the bottom of the page.
