We designed and made carnival masks.
We designed and made carnival masks.
As part of our 'Seaside Rescue' theme, Key Stage 1 had a seaside week. In Year 2, we made animations to retell the story of Grace Darling, created seaside animal masks and learnt about how to stay safe near water.
On the Thursday, we were treated to a Punch and Judy Show. Finally, on Friday we dressed for the seaside. We also watched a Science show and a brass band performance before tucking into a fish and chip picnic in the orchard. We had a fantastic week and topped it all off with some refreshing ice pops.
On Friday 26th June we had a 'Crazy Hair Day'.
We were given the challenge of making a boat using just one piece of paper.
In Art we looked closely at photographs of animals that you might find at the seaside or in the sea.
We used our knowledge about wheels and axles to help us to design and make rescue vehicles.
Do all flowers have an odd number of petals?
This term we are going to make rescue vehicles in Design and Technology.
We have been exploring around our school and finding things that are alive, dead or have never been alive.
In Science, we asked the question "Are the older children in Year 2 taller?".
We made our own pizzas with bread bases.
On Friday 20th March we had a dressing-up day. We could come in anything that would be suitable for a farmyard.
