Year 4 have been experimenting with a range of techniques to shape, join and add patterns to clay. This is in preparation for their Egyptian jewellery work.
This week, Year 4 were learning about the different types of teeth that humans have (such as incisors, canines, premolars and molars). After writing about what they had learnt, they then demonstrated their knowledge through the use of clay... it was a messy afternoon!
Using AI with descriptions
In athletics this week, Year 4 practised their super-speedy sprinting skills as they ran across the playground with parachutes attached to them. Taking inspiration from 'The Lion and The Unicorn' we wrote our own descriptions of where our secret places could be.
Year 4 Languages Day - Portuguese
We have started off Year 4 in English by writing diary extracts from the point of view of Lenny, from the World War 2 inspired book: 'The Lion and the Unicorn'. We have looked at emotive language, using first person, past tense, time/order conjunctions and pronouns (amongst other features).
Enjoy this selection of extracts.
