Year 4 Breakfast Club
For those children lucky enough to be invited, they have been working hard (and eating even more). We did some number bond work to improve their confidence – what other ways could you make these numbers under 20?

4U's safety work related to AI
It has been a very busy few weeks for 4U (and myself) and we wanted to give you a sneak peak at some of things we have been up to...
Our first couple of weeks back...
Year 4 have been learning how to mummify oranges - I hope wev'e not inspired too many new careers.
We explored how well we had brushed our teeth - overall it wasn't too bad ;)
Although the children have noticed a few problem spots to focus on.
Year 4 have been experimenting with a range of techniques to shape, join and add patterns to clay. This is in preparation for their Egyptian jewellery work.
This week, Year 4 were learning about the different types of teeth that humans have (such as incisors, canines, premolars and molars). After writing about what they had learnt, they then demonstrated their knowledge through the use of clay... it was a messy afternoon!
Using AI with descriptions
In athletics this week, Year 4 practised their super-speedy sprinting skills as they ran across the playground with parachutes attached to them. The drag force from the parachutes meant that unfortunately, they could not beat Usain Bolt’s infamous sprinting time… better luck next time! This did help them build up their strength and speed as it required them to work harder against the resistance. Here are some action shots:
Taking inspiration from 'The Lion and The Unicorn' we wrote our own descriptions of where our secret places could be.
