We started off our new extreme environments topic by exploring poetry. Inspired by the amazing Winter Olympics advert, the Dreadful Menace, the year five children created their own poems personifying a rugged, dangerous mountain.

Over the last two weeks in Year 5, we have been writing Battle Cries! We imagined we were a group of Vikings poised and ready to attack the Anglo-Saxons. The children then wrote a rousing speech that would inspire and motivate the Vikings in battle.

This week in our ukulele lessons, we have been focusing on learning different strumming rhythms as well as securing the quick transition from the C major chord to the G7 chord. Well done Jasmine on a wonderful performance!
