This week in maths, we have been learning all about sorting.
We have been sorting things according to what object they are, their colour and also their size!
We have also been trying to explain what the rule is for each category. E.g. The rule for circle 1 is the bears have to be small. The rule for circle 2 is the bears have to be big!
This week we have been exploring the story 'Owl Babies'
After discovering it in our reading corner, the children have LOVED reading the story 'We're going on a bear hunt' by Michael Rosen.
We watched a video of it being read by the book's author, Michael Rosen, and it added a whole new dynamic to the story. Who knew the words 'squelch' and 'squerch' were so hilariously funny?!
This week, the children have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with paints and seeing what colours they could make.
