Exploring outside with careful observations and imagining treasure chests.

We are already 2 weeks into our new theme and we have already been off out and exploring. This term we are thinking about habitats in Science. A habitat is where something lives, but how do we know if it is alive? This week we found out about MRS GREN - a handy lady who helps us remember what makes a living thing- a living thing.

We then grabbed a magnifying glass and went off to find some living things. This is part of our RSPB explorers awards and we are VERY excited to complete more.

As well as thinking about the 'treasure' we can find outside, we have used our imaginations to write poems about what could be found in a long forgotten chest at the bottom of the sea. We used it as a chance to practice using question marks.

After imagining what is at the bottom of the ocean, we are off on holiday and looking at postcards, so watch this space...

Wish you were here! Year 2 xxx
