In topic this week, year three learnt about the process of mummification. After bodies were cleaned, the organs were removed and placed into canopic jars. After this, the body was dried in salt, stuffed with sawdust and spices, and then wrapped in hundreds of metres of linen. 
We applied these skills to mummify an orange. Year three had so much fun and we can't wait to open them in a few weeks to see our orange mummies!
