Some of our work from our first day of term and our first day of using Seesaw

Yesterday was the first day of the summer term.  It was a bit of an unusual start to term as, for most of us, it didn't involve going to school.  However, we've all started again with our home learning now and what an amazing start to the week it was!  All of our home learning in Year 2 is now being done through an app called Seesaw.  Well done to all of you who logged on and worked on Seesaw yesterday.  Thank you grown-ups for all of the feedback too.  We've made a few adjustments today which will hopefully make things a bit clearer and easier.

If you haven't made it to Seesaw yet then please look at the instruction sheet that came with the new home learning pack that you collected last week.  We would love to see everyone on there.  If you need any more help then Miss Cosby has added some videos to the front page of the Year 2 blog which show you how do do some of the basics such as adding work.

As well as posting work from the new CGP books, there have been some great examples of work added to Seesaw linked to our R.E. focus on signs and symbols.  Amie's crystal heart (see above) is just one example.  Here are some of the other symbol designs:

Abbey's colourful unicorn.          Aidan's football symbol.              Zephaniah's colourful symbol.

Here are Jye and Bella with their carefully drawn and colourful symbol designs.  Great work!

We've also had people using the the different tools on Seesaw to show us where they feel safe.

Aiden and Oliver drew their own pictures and added captions too.  What a great job!

Here are Daniel and Frankie working hard on some of the other activities that have been set for the week on Seesaw.  If you have any problems and need a bit of help then please email us and we'll give you some more guidance.                           OR

Hopefully we'll see even more of you on Seesaw today.  We're really looking forward to seeing what you do.

See you soon,

Miss Scott and Miss Cosby

...and as a final note, just look at Cassia's amazing lion!  What will your symbol look like?
