We have some egg-citing news about your teeth!
We have been learning about teeth in year 3, we have learnt the different parts of the tooth and the different functions of teeth. We have also learning about tooth decay. We have designed an experiment to observe over time using eggs. We have chosen eggs because they are a bit like our teeth. The outer shell of the egg acts as the enamel, the white bit at the dentin and the yolk as the pulp. We have looked at the sugar content of different liquids (coke, water, orange juice and milk) and then put the eggs in that liquid for over a week. We will be observing the results soon.
