AUTUMN TERM - OUR THEME IS…
CRIME BUSTERS
Year 4 are exploring how crime and punishment have changed from medieval to modern Britain! Throughout the term, we will be focusing on the age of Robin Hood, the Tudors, the Gunpowder Plot and the Victorians, not forgetting the modern period!

We will be thinking about questions such as:
How did law enforcement change?
Who was in charge of making sure laws were followed?
When and how did the police force come to be?
Why would someone plot to blow up parliament?

What was life like in Victorian Britain?
Why did Henry VIII change the laws?
What would happen if you broke the law?
Why did Robin Hood decide to break the law?
