Welcome to Year 4
About us ...
We have two year 4 classes at Tudor School. 4U’s class teacher is Mr Munro who is assisted by Mrs Knight, and 4V’s class teacher is Mrs Pettit who is assisted by Mrs Higgins. Additionally, Mrs Smith teaches within each class once a week.
Mr Munro is our phase leader for Lower Key Stage 2.
PE
Normal PE days are:
4U - Monday and Thursday 4V - Tuesday and Thursday
Homework
Given out on Fridays, handed in on Wednesdays. Reading every day (approximately 15 minutes per day). There will also be additional spelling homework each week.

Summer Term theme - What a Wonderful World
Year 4 are we will be exploring different aspects of the world, mostly focusing on tropical rainforests. This topic is more focuses on Geography whilst our previous topics were more History centred.
We will be thinking about questions such as:
Why are the rainforests located where they are?
What are the similarities and differences in the climate in the Amazon Rainforest compared to Hemel Hempstead?
How can we collect data to explore a locations weather?

How are humans impacting rainforests and wider world’s climate?
What is fair trade?
Why are rainforests important?
What features are present in Brazilian Samba music?
What materials would be suitable to create a hammock style bed?
