Summer Term Theme – Step Back In Time
What was life in the 50s, 60s 70s, 80s and 90s?
What key events happened in Britain during this time?
What key events happened in Hemel Hempstead?
Was this a time that we would like to live in?
This term, we’re embarking on an exciting journey back in time to post-war Britain! Along the way, we’ll explore important events both in our local area and across the country. We’ll also discover how technology, music, fashion, and toys changed during this period. I wonder… would you rather have lived back then or today?

Across the different subjects, we will investigate the following questions:
What was Windrush and why was is so significant in history?
How has Hemel Hempstead town changed over the years?
What was the Buncefield explosion?
Who were some famous artists and did they star on Top of the Pops?
What toys did children play with years ago?
