DT- Design and Technology

“D&T teaches us skills that we can use in real life”

The document below sets out Tudor Primary’s approach to the teaching and organisation of D&T in accordance with the National Curriculum and the school’s thematic approach.

Here at Tudor, we are committed to providing all pupils with high-quality opportunities to access all areas of the D&T curriculum. D&T is a vital part of the curriculum and enables children to develop a range of skills that they can use in everyday life, from developing their creative thinking, to becoming confident problem-solvers.

‘Design and technology gives young people the skills and abilities to engage positively with the designed and made world and to harness the benefits of technology.  They learn how products and systems are designed and manufactured, how to be innovative and to make creative use of a variety of resources including digital technologies, to improve the world around them.
