It is a full-time contract. The core hours in school are 8.45am -3.15pm but there is potential for additional hours (on an additional hours arrangement) if requested. In fact, there are a number of additonal opportunities at Tudor that our team can take advantage of to enhance their impact!
Tudor Primary is a two-form entry school that is a truly happy and exciting place to learn and work in.
'There is a culture of aspiration in the school. Adults set high expectations and pupils try hard to meet them.'
We have high expectations and children who are motivated and keen to learn. As Ofsted states:
'Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are excellent. There are few disruptions to lessons and when these happen, adults deal with them well. Pupils and adults have strong relationships, rooted in mutual respect.'
We invest in our staff team. As Ofsted stated:
'Staff feel valued. They say leaders are conscious of their workload and support their well-being.'
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to become part of our team of Learning Support Assistants. We are proud of our strong track record in developing high quality support staff and we can offer a full training package including pathways to further career development.
As well as supporting the academic and social progress of focus children, the successful applicant will also be expected to deliver learning for individuals (and/ or groups) as well as support engagement between home and school.
In addition, we welcome applicants who may wish to be involved in providing extra-curricular opportunities or who simply want to immerse themselves further in a school that is truly at the heart of the community. Additional hours are available for those applicants who may want to further enhance/ extend their time in school.
Tudor Primary is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. The child protection policy can be accessed here.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Background (DBS) Check and all other safer recruitment checks. Ofsted stated that:
'Leaders responsible for safeguarding are meticulous in their record-keeping. They have established a culture of vigilance around safeguarding and all staff know what to do if they are concerned about a pupil. Staff know pupils well and are alert to any signs they might be at risk of harm. The systems in place for checking adults who come to work at the school are rigorous.'
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. All schools are different and we are keen to share the positive atmosphere that permeates our school. Please try and make some time to visit our school so we can share the potential of the role as well as share how we work creatively and imaginatively to support the children in their learning.
We are confident that it will only take you a short while to realise that Tudor Primary is a place in which EVERYONE can flourish. As our academic and social success evidences, it is a truly special environment to come to each day. We would love to meet you.

Here's a copy of some feedback we received. Do you want to join this team?
'I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for supporting me so well this year. I couldn't have come to a school that offered a more welcoming and supportive opportunity. I have never felt nervous to ask and aside from both of you, there is always someone else willing to help when needed, which not many of my friends are able to say. I have learnt so much and have made some great relationships with people and I honestly couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I feel very proud upon telling people that I am part of #TeamTudor! '
And when teachers move on to that next stage in their career...
'I have absolutely loved working at Tudor and am so grateful for all the support, encouragement and kindness I have received from yourself, Maxine, Katie and all the staff here. I feel very fortunate to have found a school so early in my career as supportive and accepting as Tudor. I have been so lucky to work with a staff full of truly amazing teachers who helped me develop my own unique teaching style. I have always felt able to be myself here and I can only hope I will be able to find another school as friendly, caring and accepting as everyone here has always been.'
We really believe the children of Tudor Primary deserve the BEST!
We are very proud of the team we have in our school. The school invests in the wider experiences of the team too and staff clearly enjoy the range of experiences that being part of Tudor can provide. Here is just one example of a recent walking tour in our capital:

Tudor is:
'Fantastically warm and welcoming’. Leaders foster positive relationships with parents and staff. Staff feel valued. They say leaders are conscious of their workload and support their well-being.' (Ofsted, December 2022)
We continue to seek ways to make things even better too. For example, since Autumn 2018, the teachers have been able to receive 'Wellbeing Time'. This opportunity allows each teacher to spend some regular time away from the classroom on an activity that can help 're-energise' them and provide a focus on themselves.

'Overwhelmingly positive feedback from the staff questionnaire...' (Ofsted)
Tudor Primary continues to demonstrate the importance of investing in the staff team. Bespoke support packages are offered (in addition to the staff training) that ensures that the each member of the team to feel enabled and ready to meet the needs of their role:
'Staff are receiving good-quality training and development to develop their professional skills. Effective support packages are designed for staff needing extra help.' (Ofsted)
We have a fantastic, committed staff who work incredibly hard- and long may that continue.
In fact, whilst we know we have the best children, we also believe we have the best staff team too!
Keep an eye on this page for any vacancies to become part of 'Team Tudor'.
