“RE aims for pupils to become religiously and theologically literate so they can engage in life in an increasingly diverse society” - Hertfordshire Agreed Syllabus of Religious Education
The document that can be accessed below sets out Tudor Primary’s approach to content and organisation of RE in accordance with the Hertfordshire Agreed Syllabus of Religious Education 2017 (extended to) 2023.
Here at Tudor, we are committed to providing all pupils with high quality opportunities to access all areas of the RE curriculum. RE is an essential part of the curriculum that provides a focus for understanding Christianity, principal religions and world views.
At Tudor, we aim to:
- Provide planned opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding of sources of wisdom
- Provide planned opportunities for pupils to explore their personal and critical responses
- Provide opportunities for pupils to arrive at their own opinions by being able to evaluate differing viewpoints
