In the Jungle...

We started our animals' topic with jungle animals. We really enjoyed learning about the different animals, where they live and what they eat. We started looking at what different animals look like. We spoke about patterns we could see and created some amazing paintings using different-sized brushes. We learnt so much about animals in one week that we filled up our working wall. We are so proud of learning so far!

During our play time something very stinky happened. We dressed up as scientists and dissected poo! Luckily, it was only playdough. Inside each poo we found meat and plants and some even had both! We sorted the poo into carnivores, herbivore and omnivore poo.

Lily - "There is meat! Put that with the carnivores."
Marley - "This has to be a herbivore, I can only find plants and herbs!"

This week we have really enjoyed playing outside. We have been trying so hard on our new climbing frame and we are getting really good at the monkey bars. We have added flowers and herbs into our mud kitchen and have now decided it will be called the "The Potion Palace". If you have any flowers or herbs at home that you would like to donate to our mud kitchen then please give them to our teachers.

Stay tuned for next weeks post. We will be learning all about birds from all over the world!
