Over the last two weeks in science, we have been looking into the health of teeth. Not only are we now able to name the different teeth, but we could also talk about their functions and what they are used for.
Our experiment was to look into what kind of drinks would affect the tooth the most. To make it a fair test we decided to use the same size hard-boiled eggs in the same container with the same amount of liquid.
We then left the eggs for one week in the liquid to see what happened to them!
We tested:
cola
orange juice
milk
water
We were really shocked by the outcome as shown below...
We just couldn't believe that the orange juice did the most damage to the acting tooth! We did a bit of research and put it down to the fact that although you do not expect it, orange juice is full of sugar that latched onto the tooth!
